Springville Highway Dept. to lower grade on North Central railroad crossing

Drivers who often travel over the railroad crossing on North Central Avenue in Springville, may soon have some relief from the high railroad crossing grade that Superintendent of Public Works, Karl Lux called dangerous at the Village Board meeting Tuesday night.
Lux said they have been trying to lower the grade at that crossing, between North and Eaton streets, since the railroad stopped traveling over it some years ago.
The crossing raises the road grade about three feet and Lux said has a pronounced bump and is dangerous for snow plow drivers.
