Post-A-Pooch-Plus (PAPP, Inc.) is a not-for-profit project manned by volunteers. PAPP's website (www.postapoochplus.com) offers to post pets in need of new and loving homes. Pets must be spayed / neutered in order to qualify for re-homing through PAPP. Low cost spay / neuter options are available in WNY. The PAPP site also offers important safe re-homing information and pet resource links. Volunteers help caring owners engage in safe re-homing practices when they can no longer keep their pets. Volunteers have also offered strategies that have helped owners keep their pets.

Whether or not owners choose to actually post on the site, PAPP's mission is to prevent inappropriate placements by providing guidance. A voluntary $25.00 or less contribution toward the PAPP project is much appreciated if a pet is posted. That $25.00 is reimbursed to the owner by the adopter. PAPP will never refuse to post a pet if the owner is unable to contribute. Outside donations are also welcome. Contributions made to the PAPP project are not tax deductible since PAPP has not yet received its 501-C-3, but every penny of your contribution will be used to help homeless or soon-to-be homeless WNY pets in need.

In 2009, PAPP evolved into dog rescue as well as personal pet re-homing. PAPP works in partnership with a local DCO to save unclaimed strays. PAPP sponsors general vetting and spaying / neutering of unclaimed dogs to ready them for adoption through the town's DCO. The PAPP project, thanks to its dedicated volunteers, has also been successful in helping additional dogs by working with local independent pet rescue advocates.

As an additional public service, the home page of www.postapoochplus.com offers a free flyer maker to get the word out on LOST, FOUND or ADOPT ME pets. The flyer can be printed or e-mailed for distribution.

Thank you for being an animal lover!
