If you choose to spay / neuter in order to post your puppy or kitten, you may ask the adopter to contribute toward the cost of spay / neuter in addition to paying the $25.00 posting fee reimbursement. Adopters specifically seeking puppies or kittens should agree it is a fair request. Post-A-Pooch-Plus is merely providing pediatric spay / neuter information since it is becoming more widely practiced in rescue venues. We strongly suggest you consult your veterinarian before making any decision as to the appropriateness of this procedure for your pet.

Why re-homing agreements important?
Chip found a home thanks to our dedicated volunteers, but Chip's new owner, a loving and kind senior citizen, passed away leaving Chip without a pet parent. Fortunately there was an agreement in place to assure that the deceased owner's family would adopt Chip should anything happen to her. They did adopt him as per the agreement and he is now in their loving home. When a pet changes families, please use the sample agreements shown as examples of what issues need to be addressed for the pet's welfare and for the peace of mind of all involved.
