Photography has been a passion and hobby of mine for many years.
I've always enjoyed sharing the glory and beauty of nature and the great outdoors with others.
A scene can be as grand as a spectacular sunrise over a distant mountain range illuminating the valley below in a rosy glow or as simple as a beautiful softly lit mountain columbine.
With photography, I try to capture the fleeting essence of these scenes.
I attempt to make photographs that communicate exactly what I sensed when a remarkable view caught my attention.
Whether it was the awesome color of a purple barn door or the low, early sunlight accentuating the texture of a teasel.
Maybe it was the classic composition and depth of a winding fall road or the contrast of an ash silhouette against a crimson setting sun.
My goal is for viewers of my photographs to get
a sense of calm looking at the inviting little bench
under a stately yellow-leafed Norway maple
or feel a little shiver when they look at the
wind-blown snow, drifted over a split rail fence.
